17. Sarajevo Film Festival

As an accredited film professional @ SFF I had an opportunity to see Panorama program films curated by Howard Feinstein, film critic and its programmer. This time around he prepared a special tribute to Lucrecia Martel (Argentina) and presented a selection of her beautiful film works. Specially organized Q&A sessions enabled for an open conversation and friendly suggestions/recommendations by the filmmaker herself to the Sarajevo audience in the Meeting Point Cinema.

International Art Colony Pocitelj (47) July 14-22

http://www.facebook.com/groups/141071572639125/?ap=1

The International Art Colony Pocitelj was established in 1964. The Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the owner and founder of the Art Colony Pocitelj. Within the scope of its work, the Colony gathers artists from the whole country as well as from all over the world. In the area of an extraordinary beauty, miraculous environment and non-everyday creative atmosphere, the artists-painters, sculptors and print-makers get together, exchange experiences and make contacts.

The Colony had been devastated during the war (1992-1995), but with great efforts of the AVAB&H and understanding of the Government of the Federation of B&H it was renewed in 2003. Every first Sunday in the month of June artists and devotee of Pocitelj gather in the Colony Pocitelj at the traditional manifestation ā€Cherry Sundayā€. Throughout the year the Association organizes working colonies, which is of a great interest to the artists from all over the world.

Memory revealed / narrative video workshop

Project:
INDIVIDUAL UTOPIAS NOW AND THEN –
Discontinuity of generation dialogue or what do we have in common?

Activity:
Narrative video workshop

Subject/title:
Memory Revealed

Lecturers:
Zlatan Filipović & Vedran ReÅ”idbegović

Working framework – narrative video workshop (brief):

In order to personalize the contexts of the narrative topics a kind of swot analysis will be applied as an individual and later a group activity. This is aimed at producing a platform of “what do we have in common?” terms and opinions that will then be utilized for production of audio‐visual responses in a form of short clips.
A matrix/database of clips will be created by workshop participants that will provide raw material for re‐mixing and creation of narrative structures that will
provide creative response to the raised question from, more specifically, the sub‐ title of the Project ‐ INDIVIDUAL UTOPIAS NOW AND THEN – Discontinuity of generation dialogue or what do we have in common?
In turn this will provide for two outcomes of this workshop: group project, a collection of video clips; Individual critical/re‐mix = memory revived response to the framework of the Project.
